Dargo Brand Star Wars Minifigures (not Lego) Set 850

This is a new bootleg brand for me, called Dargo.  They have done some superhero minifigures but I didn't get any of those because I wasn't sure if the quality was good or not.   I recently got this set of 8 Star Wars Clone Wars knockoff figures.  Set number is 850.

The set consists of 4 different Storm Troopers (top row) and Separatist Bounty Hunter, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Darth Vader (bottom row).

Here's a look at the backsides. Although there's no leg or arm printing, they do have printing on the back of their torsos.

There's a few disparities in this set.  The lightsabers are all wrong for the characters.  Darth Maul is missing his cape.  Darth Vader's head should not be flesh coloured.  I think I put a Stormtrooper head on the Bounty Hunter by mistake.

The previous two pics show the backs of the minifigures.  The next few shots are closeups of each mini figure.

Pilot Clone Trooper?

The helmets of the Clone Troopers are really bad.  There's no detail or texture to them, just some weird paint.  Can't say they do anything for me.  The torsos are detailed enough front and back and the designs look to be clear, even and free of smudges.

Here is the Dargo 850 set as listed on the Dargo website.   I hope all of the Dargo bootlegs are not this bad.  I bought these off Ali Express and paid about $5.20 USD for this set.  So not worth it.

I think there is another set with the same figures but by a different brand.  From what I've seen from pics, those ones have more accurate minifigures and details.  I'll have to see if I can find it for a good price.  Anyways, I give this set a mediorce score of 6 out of 10.

New Xinh brand of Not Lego Minifigures

I find it interesting and coincidental that the new brand Xinh seems to rise out of the ashes of Decool's demise.

While previously known for the 4 Ghostbusters mini figures, Xinh is now the best maker of Star Wars minifigure bootlegs.   These mini figures use the standard stud attachment between the legs and the torso, most commonly seen in Lego and Sheng Yuan mini figures.

While it wasn't really known for super heroes minifigs, there is a curious Xinh set which I picked up last month.  It is an eight figure set, that includes Lois Lane, Harley Quinn, Red Skull, Silver Surfer, Cyborg, Ghost Rider, Hawkman and Arsenal.  They are all very high quality.

If you are familiar with Decool mini figures, you'll know that they have a proprietary method of attaching the legs to the torso via blades instead of studs.

When I took apart the Xinh super heroes set, what I found was that they were using Decool molds with the same blade inserts.   Interesting!

Only four of the mini figures in this set have double sided heads, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Harley Quinn and Red Skull are only one sided.

Another interesting note is that the Xinh XH172 Red Skull appears to be identical to Decool 0171 Red Skull.  It's quite possible that Xinh XH175 Hawkman and XH174 Cyborg could be re-issues of Decool 202 and 203 respectively, however I don't have the Decool 0199-0204 set to verify.

Here's the model numbers based on what I could find from Ali Express.

XH104 Harley Quinn
XH172 Red Skull
XH173 Arsenal
XH174 Cyborg
XH175 Hawkman
XH176 Lois Lane
XH177 Silver Surfer
XH179 Ghost Rider

As always, thanks for visiting Its Not Lego and See you next time!
