6 New Hsanhe Building Sets Spotted

Hsanhe is a Lego compatible building set brand.  It has created a series called Mini Street which consists of several small retail shops based on real life stores, such as McDonalds, Starbucks, Apple, KFC to name a few.  Those small shop sets cost under $10 USD and each building comes with two minifigures.

Now Hsanhe has upped the ante by creating another set of 6 buildings also in their Mini Street line.  These new small modular buildings are constructed along the same lines as the Lego Creator Corner Deli shop.  Each two storey shop is hinged in the middle so that it can be displayed as a corner shop.  These look to be original designs and not bootlegged from Lego sets.

This new Hsanhe Mini Street series is numbered from 6700 thru 6705.   Each set has over 450 pieces with the biggest set being 500 pieces.  It looks like each set comes with 2 minifigures. I could only find 2 Ali stores on that sell them for a retail price of about $17 to 18 USD each.  That puts the new Hsanhe sets at about half the retail price of Lego Creator Corner Deli set.

Hsanhe 6700 Pet Shop, 466 pieces

Hsanhe 6701 Fashion Store, 462 pieces

Hsanhe 6702 Townhouse, 504 pieces

Hsanhe 6703 Market Shop, 458 pieces

Hsanhe 6704 Corner Bar, 472 pieces

Hsanhe 6705 Pool Hall, 472 pieces.

New Xinh brand of Not Lego Minifigures

I find it interesting and coincidental that the new brand Xinh seems to rise out of the ashes of Decool's demise.

While previously known for the 4 Ghostbusters mini figures, Xinh is now the best maker of Star Wars minifigure bootlegs.   These mini figures use the standard stud attachment between the legs and the torso, most commonly seen in Lego and Sheng Yuan mini figures.

While it wasn't really known for super heroes minifigs, there is a curious Xinh set which I picked up last month.  It is an eight figure set, that includes Lois Lane, Harley Quinn, Red Skull, Silver Surfer, Cyborg, Ghost Rider, Hawkman and Arsenal.  They are all very high quality.

If you are familiar with Decool mini figures, you'll know that they have a proprietary method of attaching the legs to the torso via blades instead of studs.

When I took apart the Xinh super heroes set, what I found was that they were using Decool molds with the same blade inserts.   Interesting!

Only four of the mini figures in this set have double sided heads, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Harley Quinn and Red Skull are only one sided.

Another interesting note is that the Xinh XH172 Red Skull appears to be identical to Decool 0171 Red Skull.  It's quite possible that Xinh XH175 Hawkman and XH174 Cyborg could be re-issues of Decool 202 and 203 respectively, however I don't have the Decool 0199-0204 set to verify.

Here's the model numbers based on what I could find from Ali Express.

XH104 Harley Quinn
XH172 Red Skull
XH173 Arsenal
XH174 Cyborg
XH175 Hawkman
XH176 Lois Lane
XH177 Silver Surfer
XH179 Ghost Rider

As always, thanks for visiting Its Not Lego and See you next time!

Sluban M38-B0531 Hotel Preview

Saw this new Sluban set on Ali express for about $35 USD.  I might buy it in future if the price drops under $20 US. It has 541 pieces and 5 mini figures.  It also comes with a small convertible and a bicycle.  I don't like the mini figures because they don't look compatible with the Lego style of figures.

Brand: Sluban
Set: M38-B0531 Youth Hotel
Number of pieces: 541

Sheng Yuan SY258 SY259 Heroes Assemble Minifigures preview

Sheng Yuan has released some new sets of Super Heroes mini figures for 2015.  The series is called Heroes Assemble SY259 and there a total of 16 figures.

The first 4 minifigures are:  Hawkeye, yellow Deadpool, Phoenix and Red Robin.  I would only want yellow Deadpool and Red Robin, since I already have the Decool versions of Hawkeye and Phoenix.

Next up is Plastic man, Daredevil, Loki and Magneto.  Again I'm only interested in Plastic Man and Daredevil. I already have Magneto and more than one Loki figure.

I want all of the above! Hawkeye, Galactus, Cybord and Nova are figures I don't have yet.

The last four are Beast, Ant man, Green Arrow and Wolverine.  I have Decool versions of Green Arrow and Wolverine.  Need the Beat and Ant man for sure.  I put my order in but it will probably take a month before I get them. Arggh.

Brand: Sheng Yuan
Set:  Heroes Assemble SY258 SY259

Wange Villa Not Lego set list 2013

Historically, Lego city buildings like their Modular series have been very expensive, ranging anywhere from $100 to $200 per set.  They get even more expensive once they become discontinued.

They have some Creator buildings like the Family House, Hillside House, Beach House and the Bike Shop, but they too are quite expensive.

So I wanted to find some in-expensive building block sets where you could build some houses.  I found a brand called Wange that does a series called Creation Villas.  Obviously Creation is a knock-off term for Creator.

Pictured above is the largest set in the Villa series, it is set number 34051 and it has 909 pieces.  The house has two stories and a large patio that is fenced in.

The next Villa model is set 34052 being a three storey building consisting of 755 pieces.  This one has a basketball court in the side yard as shown in the picture above.

Set 34053 has 816 pieces and a see-saw in the yard of the three storey home.
